Easter Hat Parade
We will be holding our annual Easter Hat Parade for students in Prep to Level 2 on Thursday, 29th March. It will be held in our Gym from 9 - 10am. The Rolling Hills kinder kids will also join us. We are looking foward to seeing all the creative hats our students have made at home. Families are welcome, and encouraged, to attend.
New Hats
Legionnaires hats are no longer being made by our supplier, so they are now unavailable. The good news is that we now have a new hat available to all students. It is a micofibre slouch hat with an embroidered logo. The tightening strap goes around the base of the cap, not underneath the student's neck. They are machine washable and are great value at $15. They can be purchased with cash or credit card from the office or through the uniform shop on Friday mornings between 8.30 - 9.30am. Orders can be left at the office for hats, and other uniform items, anytime, by completing the order form below. If paid for, the items will be send home with your child.

Sustainable Schools Shop
Rolling Hills Primary School is conscious of the need to provide an efficient process for families to be able to buy and sell their uniforms. We are delighted to inform you of the school’s new initiative to provide parents with the ability to trade these second-hand items via the Sustainable School Shop website, www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au.
Results from other schools have been excellent; families have enjoyed a more comprehensive and convenient method of trading these items; and this new service is far more accessible. The service provides access to second-hand uniforms, calculators, stationery, musical equipment, etc all year.
We are very excited about this new initiative and we hope you will make the most of the opportunity to annually recycle your student’s school items as this will help another family and student at our school.
Directions for creating an account and selling items on the Sustainable School website are found in the notice below, which was also included in last week's newsletter.
School Levies 2018

Exciting partnership with Eastern Regional Libraries
We are excited to announce that Rolling Hills Primary School have partnered with Eastern Regional Libraries (ERL) to provide each child with their own library membership. This will allow your child to access a vast range of research and literacy tools that we'll be using in class.
Students can borrow almost 50,000 ebooks and access several premium online resources, including Encyclopedia Brittanica and Literacy Planet. Additionally, you can visit your local library to activate the borrowing of real books. That's free too!
All you have to do is visit www.yourlibrary.com.au/students and provide your child’s details. Make sure you select Rolling Hills Primary School as the relevant school.
Once signed up, membership cards will be sent to our school and forwarded home with your child. We will keep record of membership details so students can access resources at school. If your child is already a member and you would like them to access the Eastern Regional Library at school, please feel free to provide their login details to Mrs Nettelbeck in our Library.
We encourage our families to be part of this fabulous partnership.
Have you seen our plans for our new Inclusive Playground?
We are excited to have received a grant from the State Government this year to construct all-inclusive play areas in our top area of our playground. Construction works will begin on 14th August and continue through until mid term 4. See the attached plan for details. You can also see pictures of the 3 different stages and what will occur during each one, in the office foyer. This is fantastic for our school and we look forward to it coming together. There will be areas fenced off during construction - please be patient and bear with us during this time. It will be worth it!
