Communication TO and FROM school

It is important to establish and maintain co-operative Parent/Teacher and Home/School relationships.

To encourage this, a parent teacher interview is organized early in Term 1. This is designed to give parents and teachers an opportunity to get to know each other. Other formal contact is arranged during the year. These interviews give you a chance to discuss your child's program with the class teacher.

You are encouraged to talk freely with the class teacher, however, if you wish to discuss an issue with your child’s teacher please arrange an appointment at a mutually convenient time so that there is sufficient time to address your concerns. It is unsatisfactory to try and talk to a teacher who is taking a class. You may make an appointment by seeing the teacher briefly before or after school, writing a note, or by ringing the school.

If your concerns cannot be helped or solved by the classroom teacher we have considerable back-up support services which can be used.
