Sustainable Schools
The following recommendations have been made as part of the School Charter for 2004-2006.
To embrace within the science initiative the Sustainable Schools Process which will model and promote:

Exemplary practices in decreasing consumption of energy, water and the generation of litter and dispersal of waste to landfill

The broadening of understanding and awareness of the need to live sustainably whilst enriching the biodiversity of our surroundings.

The trialling of technologies and practical activities which will assist us and encourage other to achieve sustainability.
Intended Outcomes:

To fully implement the school’s new Science program 1-4 school wide.

To facilitate integration of units of work combining Sustainable Schools and Science across all year levels.

To provide for the extension and development of staff knowledge base regarding the Sustainability process.

To build a resource bank of science and sustainability related areas.
-
To extend staff skills in monitoring student science outcomes.
